Completion of a Marshall construction
project has earned Key Building Systems, Inc. of 2820 East Marshall Ave,
Longview in western Harrison County and honor by VP Buildings, one of
the nations largest manufacturers of metal buildings.
Key Building Systems, Inc. has been named to BP Buildings' hall of fame
for the Social Security Administration Building located at 1509 Sedberry
Street in Marshall. The 7,191 square foot structure was completed
December 2003.
The project was valued at $610,909.00 and took 10 months to complete.
The building was built to strict Federal government specifications and
features an attractive public reception/lobby area having a combination
of ceramic and quarry tile, wall coverings and raised panel wainscot. The National Hall of Fame Awards are presented each year to authorized VP
Builders for outstanding integration of building systems, products and
design. The 2004 Hall of Fame Awards included hundreds of entries in a
number of categories. Over 1,000 authorized builders from across the
globe are eligible to enter the Hall of Fame competition. David Zinger,
president of VP Buildings, said, "VP gained recognition many years ago
with the 'Custom Concept.' The Hall of Fame is proof positive that our
builders continue to challenge the boundaries by seeking new and
innovative ways to prove that pre-engineered buildings are the system of
choice." Bill Supan, president of Key Building Systems, Inc., said that
winning the 2004 Hall of Fame is truly an honor, given that the
competition includes several hundred top general contractors across the
country. Key Building Systems, having been in business since 1972,
is one of the oldest general contractors in East Texas. Key Building
Systems, Inc. engages in all commercial, industrial and institutional
projects as well as the sales, erection and repairs of metal buildings.
Projects recently completed by Key Building Systems, Inc. include Welch
Funeral and Memorial Center, Women’s Dormitory at Longview Baptist
Temple and four Goodwill retail stores.
